The articles cover the Mineral County communities of Saltese, Haugan, De Borgia, St. Regis, Superior, Quartz, Lozeau, Tarkio, Cyr, and Alberton, and the Missoula County communities of Frenchtown, Huson, and the Nine Mile Valley.

A free mapmaking course using ArcView 3.2 is available online. The course, produced under a grant from the state of Montana, was offered in spring 2002 to residents of Mineral County.
